I’m having trouble logging into my account online
Make sure that you are logging in with your member ID and password (not a username). If you are able to log in but can't purchase tickets contact members@sffs.org.

How Do I redeem CineVouchers purchased? (in addition to a membership)
From our box office welcome page click the "I want to redeem my CineVouchers" button. Use your CineVoucher 10-pack number you received in your email confirmation to redeem them.

How do I redeem CineVouchers that were included with my membership? (Film Aficionado, Family, Film Director, & Luminary Star)
-Go to the Film Society's ticketing site and click the Login Page link on the left side
-Select your screening from the "On Sale" on the upper left.
-Click the "Buy Tickets" logo
-Select the quantity of "CineVouchers" you want (price should be $0.00)
-Click "add to cart." Repeat these steps to add more films to your cart

How do I update my contact information?
Log on to here with your member ID and password. Click “Edit Your Information” to update any contact information or preferences. You can always email members@sffs.org with any changes.

I haven’t received my membership card yet. How do I take advantage of my benefits?
To take advantage of your benefits right away, print off your email confirmation or, if ordering online use your member ID until your membership card arrives.

What do I do if I lose my member card?
You can request a replacement card by emailing members@sffs.org or calling 415-561-5032.

How many tickets can I buy at the member price?
Film Enthusiast, Filmmaker Pro, Film Aficionado, and Film Director members can purchase up to 2 tickets at the member price. Dual members can purchase up to 4 tickets at the member price.  If you have a Luminary Star membership and above, there is no limit to the number of member priced tickets you can purchase. What are members-only preview screenings?

Distribution companies often choose to promote a film by holding a preview screening before the film has been released in theaters. The Film Society will be offered a portion of the seats for our members. SFFS is given a seat allotment, as these screening are not exclusively for SFFS members.

How do I find out about upcoming members-only preview screenings?
Preview screenings invites will typically be included in our enewsletter Picture Talk, which you are automatically subscribed to as a member (unless you have opted-out). You can also check the Members-Only Events page online.

How Do I RSVP to a members-only preview screening?
In the screening invite, we will specify a time/date when you can start sending emailing RSVPs to members@sffs.org. Any RSVPs received before that time/date will not be accepted. It's important to include the film title and your first and last name in the email. 

How Many Guests Can I bring to members-only preview screenings?
If we have room at a screening to accommodate guests it will be announced in the screening invite otherwise it is for members only. As a single member, you have the right to RSVP for 1 and dual members have the right to RSVP for 2. If we have space we will email you a confirmation so you know you have been added to the admission list. No tickets are issued.

How early do I need to arrive for a members-only preview screening?
Screenings are filled first-come first-served. The benefit of arriving earlier is getting towards the front of the line, which will increase your chances of getting a seat and getting a good seat.

What if I need to cancel for Members-Only Preview Screening?
We ask that you cancel at least 24 hours before the screening date so that another member can attend. Failing to cancel in advance of the screening may impede admission to future preview screenings. To cancel, email members@sffs.org.

How do I take advantage of the movie theatre discounts?
At the Roxie and PFA, show your member card to get a discount. For Landmark and Regal, and AMC theatres, you can purchase discounted movie tickets through the membership office. Tickets are unrestricted at $9.00 each. Popcorn vouchers are also available for $4.00. Email members@sffs.org for an order form.

How can I keep up with Film Society programs, screenings, and events?
If you are a member, you are automatically added to eNews, a weekly email outlining upcoming SFFS events. Other great ways to keep up with SFFS are Twitter, Facebook, and SF360.org.
